The Seven Years’ War
Even though the Seven Years’ War spanned nine years, it is named for the main conflict that took place during seven years, between 1756-1763. It involved most of the world powers at the time and in North America was referred to as The French and Indian War. Most of the struggle was between French colonists and British colonists who each wanted to expand their colonies and protect themselves from the other at the same time.
