The Roman Empire Divided

When the Roman Empire could no longer sustain itself due of its great size and other management problems, Diocletian split the Roman Empire into two halves – Eastern and Western. The Eastern Roman Empire eventually became the Byzantine Empire and was ruled from Constantinople for another 1000 years. The Western Roman Empire fell to the barbarians.

The Roman Empire Divided map includes a colorful labeled teacher’s map and an unlabeled student map that the child can label and color.
