The Babylonian Empire

Located between the rivers Tigris and Euphrates, the ancient city of Babylon became the capital of the Babylonian kingdom during the rule of Hammurabi from 792 to 1750 BC and was one of the most important cities in the world. Babylon was home to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – the Hanging Gardens.
