Australia Discovered


The exploration of Australia took place throughout the 17th and 18th centuries, with the journey of Dutch explorer Abel Tazman taking place in 1642 and 1643. The most well known British exploration of Australia was done by Captain James Cook in the late 1700s. Much exploration was done by the Dutch East India Company and the British East India Company.

The Australia Discovered map includes a colorful labeled teacher’s map and an unlabeled student map that the child can label and color.
