Africa is the second largest and second most populated country in all the world. It is so vast that is spreads from the southern temperate zone to the northern temperate zone and contains a variety of climates. Throughout history, most parts of Africa were under European rule. After WWI, many parts of Africa gained their independence. By 1922, Africa was no longer under British Administration, although South Africa remained controlled by the country’s white minority through the apartheid system until 1994. On July 9, 2011, South Sudan succeeded and became it’s own country.
The Africa map includes a colorful labeled teacher’s map and an unlabeled student map that the child can label and color.
