In Genesis chapters 2-3, we learn that the Garden of Eden is located at the convergence of four rivers – the Pishon, the Gihon, the Tigris and the Euphrates. Traditionally, Biblical historians have placed the garden at one of two places – at the headwaters of the Tigris and Euphrates in eastern Turkey / northern Syria or closer to the Persian Gulf in Iraq.
