The Tower of Babel /map_center/the-tower-of-babel/ /map_center/the-tower-of-babel/#comments Fri, 25 Oct 2013 20:46:18 +0000 KQ Team /map_center/?p=44 Babel-MapCenter-medium

Traditionally, it has been believed that the tower was a ziggurat located at Ancient Babylon, which is southwest of modern-day Baghdad. But more recent research has questioned this location as the site and has placed it much further north around the region of Tell-Brak in northern Mesopotamia in modern-day Syria or even as far north as the Pontus region in Eastern Turkey.
