My oldest graduated last year. Like most homeschoolers our co-op peers cover all the grades. The younger ones now think more about US geography since big sis left for school. 3 of our newly minted grads from the group have joined the military and will leave soon. A good geography book that they can sneak off with and privately learn more about the places our friends are/ have gone would be comforting.

Vicki June 6th, 2011 at 8:20 pm

My family is so geography-deficient that this would be a big bonus – for ALL of us! Thanks so much for offering all of these great giveaways!

Wow, I am impressed with the table of contents, and how many countries this covers. I lived in Bulgaria for several years, so I naturally always look to see if it is included. I was excited to see that it was, and I would LOVE to win this so that I can see if you included in your “Did you know?” that they shake their heads in the opposite directions as the rest of the world… they shake their heads up and down for no, and side to side for yes! My kids giggle and laugh at how absurd that seems, but were in awe to learn that it derived from a response to oppression during the Turkish Yoke that wanted them to deny a belief in God.
